Wciąż wiemy o niej niewiele, chciałbym więc przedstawić dla Was kilka ciekawych faktów. Jaka jest Nanga? 1) Ekstremalnie niebezpieczna Nanga Parbat jest dziewiątym co do wysokości szczytem świata. Mount Everest wznosi się ponad 700 m wyżej, ale trudność ośmiotysięczników niekoniecznie idzie w parze z liczbą metrów nad poziomem morza. Himalaiści nazywają Nangę "Zabójczą Górą". To w pełni zasłużone miano. Doskonale odzwierciedla fakt, że uważa się ją za drugą najbardziej niebezpieczną po K2. Wschód Słońca nad szczytem Nanga Parbat 2) Szalenie wyniosła Zaledwie 25 km od Nanga Parbat przepływa Indus. Chyba już domyślacie się, co to może oznaczać, prawda? Rzeka płynie na stosunkowo małej wysokości, szczyt wznosi się więc nad nią ponad 7000m... Jest to największe względne wzniesienie na świecie na tak krótkim odcinku. Wszystko to sprawia, że Base Camp po stronie północnej znajduje się na wysokości około 3600 m i jest najniżej położoną ze wszystkich baz pod ośmiotysięcznikami. Nanga Parbat - widok z oddali 3) Widziana z czarodziejskich miejsc Wielu podróżników marzy o zobaczeniu szczytu Nangi z Czarodziejskiej Łąki (ang. Fairy Meadows) - płaskowyżu goszczącego główny base camp. Jest to przecudne, buchające zielenią miejsce. Szczyt znajduje się niemal 5000m wyżej, sprawia wrażenie ogromnego i obezwładniającego. Na pierwszy rzut oka dojazd do Łąki jest banalny, wymaga wynajęcia Jeepa za kilkadziesiąt dolarów i przejścia paru kilometrów z wioski Tato. Diabeł tkwi jednak w szczegółach. Szutrowa droga na płaskowyż (nazwana żartobliwie Karakorum Highway) wymaga od kierowców ekstremalnych umiejętności, a od pasażerów nerwów ze stali. Zobacz sam :-). Nanga Parbat widziana z Fairy Meadows 4) Zdobyta z trudem Hermann Buhl trenujący w Dolomitach W 1953 roku austriacki himalaista, Hermann Buhl, jako pierwszy postawił stopę na szczycie Nanga Parbat. Skalę tego wyczynu najlepiej ilustruje fakt, że przy wcześniejszych próbach zdobycia ośmiotysięcznika zginęło aż 31 osób. Buhl przeszedł ostatnie 1300 metrów samotnie, bez wspomagania tlenem z butli, jednak będąc pod wpływem środka dopingującego na bazie amfetaminy. Co więcej, ciężkie warunki i zbyt długi czas wspinaczki zmusiły go do przenocowania na wysokości 8000m. Ten wyczyn przeszedł już do legend himalaizmu. 5) Zaatakowana przez Talibów Base Camp zaatakowany w 2013 r. W nocy z 22 na 23 czerwca 2013 roku grupa uzbrojonych terrorystów zaatakowała bazę pod Nanga Parbat, na wysokości 4200 m Napastnicy przebrani w wojskowe mundury zabili 11 osób różnych narodowości - w tym 10 wspinaczy i jednego lokalnego przewodnika. Chiński himalaista ocalały z masakry relacjonował później, że terroryści strzelając wykrzykiwali islamskie hasła. Koniec końców okazało się, że pierwotnym celem ataku było porwanie Chena Honglu, obywatela Chin i USA, w celu wymiany go na jednego z oficerów Talibów. Na samym początku akcji Honglu wyskoczył z namiotu i użył na jednym z napastników wschodnich sztuk walki. Został szybko postrzelony i zabity. 6) Zmieniająca przestrzeń wokół Nanga Parbat ma wielki wpływ na swoją okolicę. Nie na darmo miejscowi nazywają ten szczyt mianem Diamir, oznaczającym Króla Gór. Najlepszą ilustracją potęgi Nangi są wydarzenia z 1841 r, kiedy to lawina skalna z ośmiotysięcznika zatamowała rzekę Indus. Powstało jezioro o długości około 64 km i maksymalnej głębokości 300m. Gdy skalna zapora wreszcie rozpadła się pod naporem wody, całe jezioro zniknęło w przeciągu 24 godzin. Katastrofalna powódź zniszczyła wiele wiosek, zmiotła też z powierzchni ziemi obóz Armii Sikhów, zabijając przy tym 5000 żołnierzy. Widok z powietrza na Nanga Parbat 7) Niedostępna zimą Zimowe wejście na Nanga Parbat pozostawało przez długi czas odległym marzeniem. Dopiero w 2016 r. dokonali tego Simone Moro wraz z Muhammadem Ali oraz Alexem Txikonem. Jako drudzy wspięli się tu zimą Tomasz Mackiewicz i Elisabeth Revol, podczas tragicznej w skutkach ekspedycji w styczniu 2018 roku. Warto wspomnieć, że zimowe próby wejścia na Nangę zapoczątkowali właśnie Polacy. Pierwsza wyprawa wyruszyła na przełomie 1988/1989 pod przewodnictwem Macieja Berbeki. Szczyt Nanga Parbat pokryty śniegiem. Adolf Schlagintweit 8) Otoczona klątwą Wiele mówi się o tym, że Nanga Parbat nie przynosi szczęścia swoim odkrywcom. Początków tej himalajskiej klątwy upatruje się w 1857 roku, kiedy to zamordowano Adolfa Schlagintweita. Był to człowiek, który odkrył Nangę dla wielkiego świata. Namalował ją na płótnie i przedstawił w Europie pierwszy znany raport na jej temat. Wśród himalaistów krąży legenda, że ofiary Nagiej Góry żyją teraz w lodowym pałacu na jej szczycie. Wygląda na to, że Schlagintweit stał się jego pierwszym lokatorem, gdy tylko spróbował wydrzeć ośmiotysięcznikowi jego tajemnice. 9) Działająca jak magnes Reinhold Messner Nanga Parbat budzi sprzeczne emocje. Od wielu lat uważa się ją za trudną i odpychającą, ale ta niedostępność jednocześnie przyciąga i stanowi wielkie wyzwanie. To stwierdzenie najlepiej zilustruje historia Reinholda Messnera. W 1970 r. zdobył on szczyt wraz ze swoim bratem, Günterem. Zejście tą samą drogą było niemożliwe, dokonali więc pierwszego trawersowania Nangi. Podczas powrotu północno-zachodnią flanką Diamir Günter zginął porwany przez lawinę. Reinhold zdołał dotrzeć do obozu, stracił jednak siedem palców u nóg wskutek odmrożeń. Czy Naga Góra go zniechęciła? Ależ skąd! Osiem lat później znów stanął na szczycie Nanga Parbat, dokonując pierwszego samotnego wejścia. Wrócił tu jeszcze w 2005 roku, gdy pośród topniejącego lodu odnaleziono ciało jego brata. 10) Sięgająca po koronę Himalaje wciąż ulegają wypiętrzaniu. Mount Everest zyskuje co roku około 4mm wysokości, Nanga Parbat rośnie dwukrotnie szybciej. Szacuje się, że za 241 tys. lat stanie się najwyższym szczytem Ziemi. Jeżeli ludzkość przetrwa do tego czasu - jesteśmy niezmiernie ciekawi, czy pozostaną jeszcze jakieś wyzwania do podjęcia w Himalajach. Although we receive several guests for each fixed departure, we feel that it is important to mention it. You can make sure of the trip status on this page. Status “available” means we are registering guests and “guaranteed” means we have crossed the required number of participants and the trip will commence on the given dates. We will timely guide you step by step regarding visa applications and flight reservations to Pakistan etc. Travel Documents & Visa In order to apply for visas to Pakistan, you generally need a passport expiring later than (6) months. For more reliable and updated information, we suggest you to contact the nearest Pakistani consulate or embassy in your country. We expect that you will take full responsibility for ensuring you have the right travel documents. Normally if you are visiting non-EU countries, you must check for 2 vacant pages in your travel document (passport) for every country you plan to travel. A tourist visa (visit visa) is required to come to Pakistan for trekking. People on work visas (already in Pakistan/abroad) require a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) which normally takes up to 6 weeks. The requirements and fee for tourist visas to Pakistan is normally around 200 USD but for accurate information you should consult Pakistani consulates nearby. To apply for a tourist visa, you will need a Letter of Invitation from our company and sometimes a duplicate (copy) of the “government trekking permit” for the group, processed by us.
